Lydia Staton

Eclectic, Tenacious, Perfectionist

Jefferson High School, Cedar Rapids, Iowa
University of Northern Iowa:  Marketing/Sales & Advertising; French

Singularly single but very happy spending time with her boyfriend, family, friends and her black cat Minnie. (Interesting that the only name she mentions is her cat’s.) Lydia did an internship with us in 2008, then returned to work fulltime the next year. She’s tidy, cheerful and her office smells great (but we like her anyway).

She’s been called a modern hippie but isn’t sure what that means. Into art and music, especially music festivals. Loves to travel and people-watch. Two trips to Europe – so far. A diehard Cubs fan, no doubt yearning to know the true meaning of disappointment. Draws, paints, hunts for vintage jewelry and happily attempts to cook new things. That ‘eclectic’ description sounds about right.

Three things that drive her crazy are:
1. Ignorance
2. People who don't use turn signals
3. People who wear sunglasses indoors

Her philosophical approach to work is pragmatic:
“I've learned to expect anything and work hard. At the end of the day, I just hope I've done my part to make our clients as successful as possible.”

Lydia quietly handles every challenge. She’s very good and getting better fast.

Song of choice: “Reckoner” (Radiohead) or anything by Radiohead
