Connie Collins

Friendly, Hard-Working, Original

LaSalle High School, Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Iowa State University: Advertising Design, Interior Design

Fully involved wife, mother of three teens. “Can you say Aaarrrggghhh!!!?"

A working mom constantly on the move. On speed dial at her kids’ school as a go-to volunteer. A regular runner. Gardens, golfs, socializes. Connie drives a Ford Freestyle but claims that’s not quite as adventurous as it sounds.

Loves to read. In a book club with 6 or 8 friends. It’s an excuse to drink wine and share stories about their kids. Most of them have boys who were on the same baseball team when the club started. (She’s a designer – this whole thing about reading may be a ruse.)

With over 20 years in the ad game and stints with all the big agencies in town, Connie is a productive team player who keeps work fun and creative. An Art Director for J.W. Morton in the '90s, she’s a welcome re-addition to our ranks.

Three things that drive her crazy:
1. People who don't follow through
2. Slow drivers
3. Crumbs on the countertop (so much for war and world hunger)

Her philosophical approach to work is refreshing (and refreshingly brief):
“Be nice to people.”

Connie is a stylish designer with experience and know-how to back it up.

Song of Choice: "Fishing" (Widespread Panic) and anything by Coldplay, Dave Matthews Band, David Gray, Cowboy Junkies or whatever alt rock or classic rock is on the radio at the moment.
